what people are saying

Here’s what Future Forward CT students are saying.

I can’t say enough about how amazing the FFCT team is. When my schedule became crowded with overtime, I started doubting my ability to balance work and school. However, my coaches went above and beyond, making time to catch up with me and assist with assignments and time management, even during work, after hours, and late into the night. Their dedication and support helped me persevere and keep moving forward.

After high school, I made 4 attempts at getting a college degree and did not succeed. I originally had a passion for forensics and my career path shifted. Over time, while navigating through life, I did not have proper direction and counsel to reaching my aspirations. Now with Future Forward, I have a reliable source of support, encouragement, and motivation to endure the journey towards acquiring my associates degree. These days, I feel more confident, more organized, and more strategic in the direction my life is headed toward my career goals.

Future Forward CT is an amazing and convenient opportunity for me to go back to school and finish my degree. Been able to study online on my own pace and time is very convenient for a working person or someone in charge of a family. My oldest son has started college which motivated me go back to school too, to be able to obtain a better job and to show my children that it is never too late to finish your degree.

I also think people in my community stray away from bettering their education due to the worry or the reflection of their environment thinking that they will be left with a bunch of student loans they can't pay off by just trying to better themselves. This program eliminates that worry because you have a coach that explains everything to you thoroughly and supports students being able to finish and have as little debt as possible.

The program gave me a new outlook on my education. I can now see myself earning my degree, something I thought was out of reach for me. The issues I thought would hinder me from being able to continue my education were financial difficulties and time. My coach was extremely helpful she helped me fill out my fafsa application so I was approved for financial aid and can earn my degree at a reasonable cost with no debt. With my work schedule I didn’t think school would be possible, but now I feel motivated and excited about the future.

I would recommend Trio CT to family or friends because I know that there are many people who are eager to earn their degree and pursue their education, but need more flexibility with their schedules and support with assignments. Trio CT is perfect for that because your coach is a great support system and guidance towards mastery of the projects and being a step closer to graduating college.

common questions

How do I apply for Financial Aid and will I qualify?

expand_more

Students can apply for Financial Aid here.

Pell Grant maximum is currently $7,395. If you receive the full Pell grant award, your tuition can be less than $950 per term before scholarships.

  • Need help with FAFSA? Your enrollment advisor will help you every step of the way once you apply.

Can I transfer credits out of the program?

expand_more

Each institution has its own rules about credit transferability, and so we can't 100% guarantee that the credits you earn in the program will transfer fully to a future institution of your choice.

I have college credits, can I transfer my credits?

expand_more
  • If you’ve earned 60 or more credits from an accredited institution — or if you’ve earned an accredited AA or AS — you will likely be eligible to begin your studies directly with SNHU’s BA program (skipping the AA and significantly reducing your time to degree).
  • If you have under 60 transferable credits, you have the option to have a course-by-course evaluation, and may be eligible to transfer credits to the “associate’s degree track”.

How long does it take to earn my degree?

expand_more
  • On average, students can earn an associate degree in  9 to 12 months and a bachelor’s degree in 12 to 36 months.
